Cosmic Conundrum

I remember as a child sitting in a pew next to my parents listening to the baptist preacher's voice rise and fall with emotion as he pleaded to lost members of his flock to come in from the woods and welcome Christ into their lives, into their heart.  I'm not sure now how one could fit a living Deity in the midst of chambers, valves, vessels, and walls.  Perhaps he would have persuaded more of his flock to move to the front of church and gather at the altar on their knees to be sheared of their sins before the Lord if he had replaced the heart with the mind.
At the end of "American Cosmic," by D.W. Pasulka I quite honestly find myself contemplating my own beliefs.  Don't worry I'm not about to go down a rabbit hole of theology but would like to make some comparisons that her book have challenged one to consider when examining the UFO mystery.  These comparisons will play into the theory that we (in the UFO community), are viewing and partaking in the creation of a new religion.  UFOism? Are you an UFOist?
Let's begin with those that are directly pushing the Word.  Those warriors of the truth and disclosure that fervently push the topic into the mainstream and across social media.  These missionaries spread the Word into the world's swarm promising a savior that brings possibilities like the end of nuclear war, free energy, a cure for our wounded Earth, and a trip across the heavens.  Baptist, Catholic, or Muslim?  Greer, DeLonge, or Corbell?
The Apostles of the UFO are just as polarizing as their priests, if not more.  Apostle in Greek is defined as "one who is sent," and the weight of a reality of being chosen by some other worldly intelligence is a hefty price to pay on a cosmic credit card.  These Apostles come bearing gifts in tales and knowledge given to them purposefully by mysterious forces that light the sky and lift themselves upon mechanic clouds.  Pick your camp, your steeple, your Apostle.  Strieber, Goode, or Bledsoe?  An itinerant preacher also known as circuit rider where ministers  who would preach a redemption message while traveling around to different groups of people within a relatively short period of time.  Pretty easy to see an analogy between this type of minister and an UFO Apostle at a UFO Conference.
In my humble opinion as I like others that are invested in the UFO topic, I think we should have keep in mind the power we are giving the subject and perhaps we should question how we precede forward.  We all take our pilgrimages to places like Roswell, Uinta Basin, and Rachel Nevada and we consider the objects that are found at UFO events sacred that need to be examined.  Pasulka describes objects as a type of hierophany which is a manifestation of the sacred.  If you examine the roots of hierophany you find it is the formation of the Greek adjective hieros which means sacred or holy, and the second half comes from the Greek word phainein which means to bring to light.
If the theory that the objects left at the donation site where purposely left then one could possibly tie DeLonge's own theory that some UFO crashes happened on purpose within borders of powerful nations.  Now while one of the main subjects of "American Cosmic," was the character Tyler and his belief that the intelligence that was interacting with humanity seemed positive, DeLonge's take is the opposite.
DeLonge has also stated in interviews that through subjects like religion, the "Others" have manipulated us.  As parishioners of a new religion I challenge us to consider that an intelligence that has possibly used religion as a form of control or manipulation is playing chess while we play checkers.  Technology and the growing materialistic world is trading in the Gods of the old world for new ones.  Technology itself could be used as a method to seed a new religion and who is crafting this religion?
I will go one step even farther, is this just the most recent move on the chess board or is this part of a plan that began with the donation/gift of technology of fire or culture?  Can we not see the forest for the trees?  Is this preaching to the choir?  If we find ourselves in a reality in which we need not only air to breathe but also Technology to survive, wouldn't the source of the Technology be the Supreme Being?  In this universe in which UFOs represent the source they are gods.
Vallee has often written how the phenomenon or intelligence hides in absurdity and trickery.  Are we truly smart enough at this moment to finally define this intelligence as extraterrestrial, extra dimensional, time travelers, bugs, or even reptilians?  I think that answer is too easy and it goes against what we actually can determine about the intelligence through experience.  The intelligence has proven to be constantly evolving in how it reveals itself to humanity.  As one researcher stated, perhaps our ancestors were not viewing UFOs and mistaken them for gods but rather we are now mistakenly understanding those sames gods as UFOs.
Just as with each era in mankind there have been agents preaching Apocalypticism, UFOlogy since it's conception have had agents claiming disclosure is here.
I contacted a well known researcher that studied the case that involved the donation site in "American Cosmic."  I had a few questions for the researcher about the donation site in particular and as in true UFO fashion I was left with more questions after their answers.  I'm pretty sure the site from which the crash happened at according to the witness/witnesses is not the correct site.  The mystery continues, like religion answers are worth seeking and blind faith fuels the journey.
