What's Your Mash Potato Mountain?
Roy Neary had his mountain, his obsession, born from his chance meeting with a phenomenon. Now before we go any further, I know what the reader is thinking, "there wasn't really a Roy Neary." That's were you are wrong, they are around us and to be honest with my opinion Roy was an experiencer with balls. He let his flag fly while I believe that the majority of experiencers still hide in a dark room behind a computer screen reading and watching whatever they can find on the phenomenon.
This blog is not about the subject of a fear of sharing one's experience with any shade of the phenomenon/paranormal color wheel of John Keel. In the paragraph above I wrote that Roy had a chance meeting and this is the topic I want to examine today.
At a recent MIT Advanced Propulsion Conference Dr. Richard Grossinger stated in reference to how quantum effects won't covert to Newtonian machines in the following theory on conscious versus matter using horses as the Newtonian machine, "(horses)they are not conscious because they are entangled, they are entangled because they are conscious. The physical realm expresses quantum entanglement not because of it's subatomic particles but because of an underlying entangled state that gives rise to both."
Most researchers currently in the field of Ufology have a hard time avoiding the ideas of reality, consciousness, experiencers, and the antenna of select experiencers of the likes of Chris Bledsoe. Days of the big story being government covering up little gray guys crashing into the New Mexico desert are long gone and fading into the sunset. Those topics that came before are not any less important but as science and research has advanced naturally more of the story seems to appear and morph in unexpected ways.
With respect to all the new information out there from authors like Diana Pusulka, scientists like Gary Nolan, and the new researchers burning the midnight oil on twitter let's not forget the theories put forward from researchers like Cameron, Vallee, and Keel.
The question of what the phenomenon is may end up being the least interesting part of the whole entire story. At the end of the day the phenomenon is so many different "idols" for so many people arguably through centuries and possibly to the dawn of mankind.
I would rather propose a more interesting avenue on the super highway of Ufology. The entanglement of the experiencer with antenna and their experience or experiences. The two current theories are that because an experiencer has a marker or antennae this allows them to experience the phenomenon in whatever forms it comes in. The second theory is due to an experience with the phenomenon or even a near death experience their DNA is changed or awakened. This new awakening then allows this experiencer to interact with the phenomenon.
What about a third theory?
Just amuse me.
The third theory is simply the difference between chance and fate, just ask Roy. Neither the experience or the experiencer is the cause nor the effect but rather entangled together. They have not antenna to experience the phenomenon nor the phenomenon causes the marker to activate.
Our culture would make you believe that science is moving away from religion is some sort of swinging pendulum or ancient battle where religion gained control of the first half of the game and now science has won the momentum and controls the scoreboard.
Engineered by design, built with magic.
Fate versus Chance.
Often I think of little Barry in the Close Encounters Movie standing bathed in the orange and yellow light. He was chosen, did he choose, or was it written in the stars?
"Two lovers souls shooting across the universe speeding ever faster towards each other, there is no beginning, no ending, and never an impact of grace and flame."
